Having recently retired from my business I now have more time to use 40 years of sales and marketing experience to focus on our local communities.

Scottish Liberal Democrats believe in localism not centralisation. We trust local people to make decisions about their lives and their communities.

My priority in the Trossachs and Teith ward is to ensure this large rural ward gets its fair share of the Council budget.

As an area of scenic beauty, the ward attracts visitors to all of Stirlingshire but after the worst of the pandemic we must help boost local businesses by improving connectivity and fighting any business rate rises. We must ensure prompt delivery of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Local Development Plan action programme.

Road maintenance allied to improved public transport to match local needs is essential for rural areas. Separate cycle path networks should be routed in parallel to main roads.

More electric vehicle charging points need to be installed in the ward. By supporting rural areas and preserving local heritage we can encourage enterprise and jobs.
