As a disabled woman, Morag Fulton is a firm believer that there needs to be disabled representatives at all levels in elected office.

With the best will in the world, without people who have lived experience of the barriers, hardships and effects on their everyday lives then disabled citizens are too often left behind and excluded physically and emotionally.

As a disability activist, mother and grandmother, Morag has seen how a little bit of understanding and knowledge can help change situations for the better and she would love to take that in a new direction as a councillor for the ward where she lives and raised her family.

One in five people are disabled yet there are very few disabled councillors and that must change to empower and support our communities. Morag believes inclusion and diversity are essential to see all of us represented in our local authority.
