Alastair Pettigrew Stirlingwest

Alastair Pettigrew has lived in St Ninians for the past 42 years.

He came to Stirling when he was appointed an ear nose and throat (ENT) consultant at Stirling Royal Infirmary and worked there until retirement in 2008. He also ran an ear UK wide surgery course for aspiring surgeons and invented a 3D model of the ear that is used worldwide in the training of ENT surgeons.

Alastair is standing for the Stirling West ward because he feels that Stirling has lost it self-respect and residents are poorly served by the council. The city centre has a rundown appearance with boarded up shops, overflowing bins, and looks uncared for.

He said: “i want to restore Stirling’s pride in the appearance it presents to the world and have a council that delivers quality services efficiently.

“If we have pride in our city and confidence in our council, we all feel better.”
