Whisky tasting to help cancer charity
Maggie’s Forth Valley are partnering with Stirling Distillery to hold a whisky tasting event.
Those attending the event on Thursday May 5 from 6pm will be able to sample four of the whiskies from the distillery’s Sons of Scotland range.
Owner Cameron Mccann will talk people through their new collection, created exclusively by the distillery to celebrate the history of Stirlingshire’s rich whisky making heritage.
All have been named after historical distilleries. The Stoneywood represents the Island casks; the Cashly represents Highland casks; the Cambusbarron represents Lowland casks; and the Arngibbon represents Speyside casks.
Tickets are £30 per person and all proceeds from ticket sales go directly to Maggie’s Forthvalley.
Distillery owner Cameron said:“we have supported Maggie’s Forth Valley for several years now and we are delighted to welcome guests to our distillery for this tasting session.
“The centre provides much needed support to individuals within our local area affected by a cancer diagnosis and it’s great that we are able to help them with their fundraising.”
Since Maggie’s opened its first centre in 1996, the charity has developed a programme of support that is proven to help people with cancer, as well as family and friends, take back control. Maggie’s professional staff include psychologists, cancer support specialists and benefits advisors.
