Folk group Flook are hungry to be back live

-

Folk group Flook will play Stirling’s Tolbooth on Wednesday May 18.

A nominee for both BBC and RTÉ folk awards, Flook take their inspiration from their roots in Irish and English traditions.

Flook have an enviable trademark sound, weaving and spinning traditionally rooted tunes over precise acoustic grooves, with a rare blend of fiery technical brilliance, delicate ensemble interaction and a bold, adventurous musical imagination.

There is no shortage of virtuosity amongst the members of Flook, but the unique impact of the band stems from the exchange between the various flutes, frets and skins.

Fresh from the triumph of their ‘tour de force’fourth studio album ‘Ancora’in 2019, Flook are hungry to be back doing what has always been their first love, live music as we slowly emerge from self isolated times.

Flook bring all the spirit-raising joy to their live shows as always, and the distillation of over 25 years of friendship and music sees them ever more in tune with their legion of fans the world over.
