Milton’s eightsome reel stuns Rhu

-

Milton 8-1 Rhu

Milton bounced back in style after their midweek 3-2 defeat to Cambusbarron Rovers with a fine victory over Rhu on Saturday.

As a contest the game was over in 15 minutes as Milton raced into a three-goal lead with two goals for Mcdonald and an own goal.

A fourth goal was denied when the referee said Younger was offside and that gave their Dunbartonshire opponents a lift as they opened their account shortly after.

Milton stormed back and Mitchell almost made it four after Hendrie set him up but Stewart and Hendrie added to the scoresheet before the break to lead 5-1..

The second half was one way traffic and Mcdonald bagged his hat trick when he rounded the keeper to slot the ball into the net.

Hendrie then grabbed his second and Milton’s seventh before Ogilvie made it eight from the penalty spot.

Tonight (Wednesday) Milton are away to Kilsyth and on Saturday at home to Rothesay Brandane with Westerlands visiting Bluebellwood on Monday.
