Boat capsize trio are rescued from loch

-

Three people had to be pulled from Loch Lomond after their boat capsized at the weekend.

The Loch Lomond Rescue Boat (LLRB) was called out at around 10.10am on Sunday after Police Scotland received reports of the overturned vessel and the trio in the water.

LLRB made its way to the reported area, between Inchcailloch and Torrinch. On arrival LLRB recovered three people from the water, not wearing life jackets.

The team transported the casualties to Duncan Mill slipway where they were handed over to Scottish Ambulance Service to be treated.

LLRB then made way back to scene to assist

National Park rangers with the recovery of the capsized boat. The rangers towed the boat to Milarrochy.

The boat was then righted and dragged onto the shoreline.

LLRB said:“thankfully lives were saved today. LLRB stood down and returned to base.

“Thank you to all emergency services today and others involved.

“If on the water please wear life jackets.”
