Photos, walks and yoga at cafe
Legends cafe at the Wallace Monument is hosting a number of events in the coming weeks.
On Wednesday May 11, local photographer Stewart Blamford will be running a workshop from 6.30-8.30pm exploring landscape photography in one of Stirling’s iconic locations.
Starting with tea/coffee at Legends, Stewart will talk through the equipment he uses, then under his guidance participants will head out and have a go at taking some great shots on their own.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers and costs £15 per person. Tickets are available at Eventbrite or at www. legendsatthemonument.com.
On Saturday May 14 Gayle Ledger will be leading a guided walk of Victoria Stirling from 11am until noon dressed in Victorian costume.
Gayle will bring the city’s Victorian heritage vividly to life through the stories of the people who lived here and the legacies they left behind. Participants meet at the Campbell-bannerman statue just outside the Municipal Buildings and should dress for changeable weather. Tickets are again available on Eventbrite or at www. legendsatthemonument.com.
On Sunday May 22 from 7-8pm, there’s a chance to join Jenny from Silent Disco Fitness Stirling for a one-off yoga session enjoying the views and the woodland of the Abbey Craig at sunset.
Participants meet outside Legends cafe at 7pm and should bring their own yoga mat, blanket and cushion. Headsets will be provided to listen to Jenny’s guidance and relaxing music while taking in the views. Tickets are £10 and space is limited so book at Eventbrite or at www. legendsatthemonument. co.uk.
