Duo are up for awards
Photographers Bryan Robertson and George Vekic have both been shortlisted for the Rugby Photographer of the Year award run by the Rugby Journal.
For the past few years, Bryan has been taking snaps for Stirling County - providing photos at all levels for rhe club - and also the Stirling Observer.
George’s rugby photos come from his work at
Bannockburn RFC while he also does football snaps for Stirling Universisty - again with many of them appearing in the Stirling Observer.
Bryan was shortlisted in the Landscape category for an excellent shot of Bridgehaugh featuring a rainbow, while George was shortlisted in the Spirit of Rugby category.
His photo shows a group of women players lifting a tractor tyre.
Category and grand prize winners were due to be announced last night (Tuesday) but all shortlisted entries will be displayed in an exhibition at the World Rugby Museum at Twickenham from May 26.
George said: “There were more than 600 entries from photographers all across the world – so to have two shortlisted images from Stirling is fantastic.”
