Singers’ spring concert

-

Strathcarron Singers are again inviting people to join them for the highlight of their musical year - the annual Gala Spring Concert in Stirling’s Albert Halls.

Under the baton of musical director Matthew Brown, the concert will feature guest appearances from internationally renowned pianist Anna Michels, tenor James Mcintyre from the Royal Conservatoire and DCO Winds from Dunblane.

A graduate of Maastricht Conservatoire, Anna is a Scottish-dutch pianist who grew up in Denny, where she was awarded the Falkirk Civic Trust‘young Personality of the Year’.

During her time in the Netherlands, she was a regular prizewinner on the international competition circuit.

James is a Scottish tenor currently in the first year of his postgraduate studies and has recently performed with Scottish Opera Live.

As well as his many successes in musical competitions, James works with Live Music Now Scotland to bring music to care homes.

DCO Winds are a popular local wind octet under the auspices of Dunblane Chamber Orchestra, making great music for community audiences in central Scotland.

A Strathcarron spokesperson said:“with a wide range of music and song to please everyone, this is an occasion not to be missed. Please lend your support for this very worthwhile cause.”

Admission is free and tickets can be reserved online at www.strathcarronsingers.org.
