New house set to be built in Plean

-

Conditional approval has been granted for a new home in Plean.

Michael Basi had submitted an application to Stirling Council planners to build a single storey house with roof accommodation in garden ground of Neuk O’hedge.

One representation was submitted raising concerns that the septic tank on the site was not big enough to service another property and that the new building would have an adverse impact on neighbouring light into garden areas for large parts of the day.

However in their decision, the planners said: “There is a condition requiring the development to be serviced by a septic tank of the correct capacity. Any shadow will fall on the site and neighbouring garden grounds for part of the day, which is not a material planning consideration to warrant refusal or amending the design.

“The site is located within a clear defined group comprising a number of residential dwellings and a nursery school. The site plot is in a location that respects the densely formed pattern of the group and sits neatly between two existing residential properties.

“There are no concerns regarding privacy or loss of daylight/sunlight in respect of surrounding neighbouring properties.’’
