Indoor and outdoor fun for youngsters

-

The Boys’brigade in Stirling and Clackmannanshire has been bringing boys from across the area together again for two major events recently.

A Lego Fun Day saw 60 Junior Section and Anchor Boy members take part, while another event saw another 40 Company Section and senior boys enjoy an activity-packed day out at Lendrick Muir.

Dunblane BB captain Fraser Boyd said:“there was a pleasing symmetry to the return of the Lego Day at St Blane’s Church, Dunblane, as it had been an experimental event that the boys really enjoyed just a week before the first lockdown, and they were very keen to bring it back as soon as we could.

“Lego and activities were supplied by Let’s Go Construct and each boy had a small Lego gift to take home with him as well.”

Scripture Union’s Lendrick Muir outdoor activity centre was the venue for the older boys from St Ninians, Tillicoultry and Dunblane to get together for a day of canoeing, paddleboarding, archery, biking, bungee trampolines and the giant swing.

The boys had a choice of activities across the day, with an emphasis on fun, teamwork and learning the basic of some activities that will count towards badges and achievements at

BB.

President of Stirling & District Battalion of the BB, Iain Goring, said:“it was fantastic to see so many boys taking part and enjoying time together in these activities and we look forward to supporting more of these as BB continues to recruit new members across Stirling & Clacks.”
