Legends events in June

Legends at the Monument is hosting a number of events across June.

The venue and local artist Karen Strang team up for landscape art classes on Wednesdays on June 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 7-8.30pm at the foot of the Wallace Monument.

Meet at Legends Coffee House at 7pm over coffee/ tea then the class will continue out of doors.

Karen studied at Glasgow School of Art and regularly tutors in landscape drawing and painting.

A guided walk of Victorian Stirling takes place on Saturday, June 11 from 11am until noon.

Gayle Ledger will guide you around Stirling in Victorian costume bringing the city’s Victorian heritage vividly to life.

Meet up at the Campbell-bannerman statue just outside the Municipal Buildings and dress for changeable weather.

Yoga At Legends takes place on Mondays June 13,20 and 27 and July 4 from 7-8.20pm.

Join the Druyoga sessions - a“graceful, strong potent form of yoga based on flowing movements”.

Druyoga works on body, mind and spirit leaving you relaxed and energised. Bring your own yoga mat, blanket and cushion for a relaxing start to the week.

Cost is £8 per session, or £28 for the block of four, payable at Legends on the night.

Stirling archaeolog­ist Dr Murray Cook presents ‘Exploring Bannockbur­n Scotland’s Greatest Battle: Lessons and Legends’on Thursday June 23 from 7-8pm at Legends Coffee House.

Tickets are by donation and available at www. legendsatt­hemonument. co.uk. Doors open at 6.30pm for tea/coffee (included in donation).

Legends’wildlife partners will be on site on Saturday afternoon, June 4, giving advice about feathered friends and wildlife in general, while the Woodland Trust will be on site on the afternoon of Friday June 17 talking trees and wildlife.
