She said:“the fantastic response to the business awards demonstrates the support for the city’s business owners amongst the public as we start the new year and we’re very much looking forward to the ceremony next month.

“We’re delighted to provide this opportunity to celebrate Stirling’s entrepreneurial business owners and the city’s unique and flourishing independent scene.

“We have a wide range of awards categories which reflect the diversity of the businesses we are lucky enough to have in Stirling and which set us apart from many other cities.

“With one week left to vote, we hope the public will continue to get involved by voting for their favourite shop, pub, restaurant, hair and beauty salon, visitor attraction and other independent businesses in each award category.”

There are 10 categories including Charity of the Year, Unique Retailer of the Year and Pub/bar of the Year and voting is open now at www. independentstirling. co.uk/awards.
