A busy March at Legends cafe

Legends coffee shop at the Wallace Monument is hosting a number of activities in March.

Braveheart Bootcamp takes place on Sunday mornings at 9.30am from March 5, running for four weeks. The silent disco fitness costs £20 for the four week block.

A writer’s clinic takes place on Wednesday, March 15 from 6.30-8pm with profession­al ghost writer and English tutor Dr Catriona Scott. Contact Tracey@ tmeventsol­utions.co.uk to book a place and bring along 250 words of text for editing (not compulsory).

Costs £12 per person, payable by card or cash at Legends on the night.

On Thursday, March 23 from 7-8pm there’s ‘a Brief History of Publishing in Stirling’. Join Julie and Tom Christie, authors and directors of Stirling’s award-winning Extremis Publishing, as they explore the city’s long-running history with the publishing industry ranging from the titans of yesteryear such as the Drummond Press and Eneas Mackay right up to modern times. Doors open at 6.30pm for tea/coffee (included in donation).

On Friday, March 31‘Paint Evening at Legends’ takes place from 7-9.30pm. Paint a Highland Coo – one of Scotland’s well-loved native animals - with step by step instructio­ns. All materials provided as well as tea and coffee but feel free to bring your own bottle. Costs £30 -book on www.blaeberryr­iverart.com.

The RSPB are on site on the afternoon of March 4 giving advice about our feathered friends and wildlife in general, and Woodland Trust is on site on the afternoon of March 31 talking trees, forests and wildlife.
