Ladies night for hospice

-

West Stirlingshire Friends of Strathcarron Hospice are gearing up for their latest Ladies Night.

The annual dinner in aid of Strathcarron Hospice will take place on Friday, May 5 in the Winnock Hotel in Drymen.

The evening consists of a welcome glass of bubbly, a three course meal and entertainment by Barbara Bryceland.

There is also a raffle and some amazing prizes up for grabs.

Barbara Bryceland first hit television screens in 2007 when she entered The X Factor singing the Barbra Streisand classic ‘Somewhere’before going on to win rave reviews as a contestant on BBC’S The Voice, with judge Sir Tom Jones branding her vocals as“wonderful”.

She has also chalked up several hundred thousand views onyoutube and has supported stars including Sophie Ellis-bextor and Joe Mcelderry.

She was a big hit with attendees of last year’s charity event and makes a welcome return.

Tina Morrison, one of the organisers, said:“barbara has become a firm favourite with the public and is known to most of our ladies who attend the dinner as an excellent entertainer.

“Due to the recent pandemic, Strathcarron and other charities have been severely hit, but in October 2021 and May 2022 we managed to hold this special event and each time raised over £4000 for the hospice.

“Following the great success of last year with Barbara it looks to be a fun night. Please come and join us for an entertaining evening. Please make contact with Rina Cranstoun on 01360 440697 or Rowan Cranstoun on 07766 241674 for tickets.”

Tickets are £35 and the evening kicks off at 7.30pm. All must be seated by 7.30pm with the event lasting until midnight.
