Balfron Family Fun Run takes place on Sunday, April 30 as part of the Balfron 10k Race Festival.

The run, organised by Balfron Parent Council, is open to all ages and abilities with the route starting at Balfron High School, heading along Roman Road to the Dunmore Street roundabout and back, around one mile in total, with the option to turn back earlier for a shorter route.

This family-friendly event is not a race, but there will be spot prizes and goodies for all runners at the finish line.

Entry is £2 with all funds raised going towards the local primary school.

Rachel Moir of Balfron PS Parent Council said:“it would be great to see as many people as possible participat­ing.

“It’s a wonderful opportunit­y to take part or enjoy the race day atmosphere along the official route. We look forward to seeing you there.”

Christophe­r Mckenna, Community Activation Officer with Active Stirling, added:“the Balfron Family Fun Run is a fantastic addition to the popular 10K Race Festival.

“The parent council have worked extremely hard to plan, promote and create an event that is sure to bring a fantastic atmosphere for the whole community.

“Be sure to sign up and go along, a perfect activity for families and people of all ages and abilities.

“Active Stirling are delighted to be supporting through guidance, equipment and promotion of the event as one of many terrific community event offerings in the area.”
