MENSTRIE PARISH CHURCH
On Sunday our minister Rev Mike Goodison led worship and the service was followed by the stated annual meeting. Saturday’s musical evening of song and dance presented by the Shine Musical Theatre Touring Group was a great success. The enthusiasm and passion of these talented young people was evident throughout their repertoire, which included songs from a variety of musicals. A sum of £500 was raised for Shine and the same for church funds. Many thanks to all who supported this event. T-in 2 continues weekly, every Wednesday, from 10.30am until noon – come enjoy a blether and a cuppa. We continue to collect for the Gate foodbank and donations are always gratefully received. The Guild met on Monday April 24 for their AGM, which was followed by a quiz and a cheese and wine. To mark the Coronation weekend, a Flower Festival will be held in the Church from May 4-6. Opening times: Thursday May 4, 2-4.30pm and 6-8pm; May 5, 10amnoon and 2-4.30pm; and Saturday May 6, 2-4.30pm. Lots of window displays on show to enjoy. Light refreshments also available. Please drop in. Usual Sunday service begins at 11 am, followed by tea and coffee. This Sunday, April 30, will see Rev Mike and Rev Jim Mcneil (from Alva Parish) swapping pulpits for the day.
