Fitness classes for parents ... and bring baby too!

- STAFF REPORTER

A new fitness class is helping busy parents and carers to exercise – with their youngsters close at hand.

Active Stirling’s new fitness class‘bring your Baby Fitness’started this week at The PEAK at Stirling Sports Village.

Some parents, guardians and grandparents find it hard to find time to add fitness into their busy life schedule, as majority of their time is looking after their newborn.

However, Bring your Baby Fitness class is open for all new parents, guardians, and grandparents who have a child under the age of one year who can remain in their push chair or car seat.

A spokesperson said:“being active plays a vital role in everyone’s mental health and wellbeing.

“There are many benefits to exercising, but when you’re feeling tired, being active may seem like the last thing you want to do. But regular activity can relax you, keep you fit and help you feel more energetic.

“This class will give you strength and tone your body using a range of different exercises; cardio, yoga, dance, circuits, and resistance training whilst using equipment such as mats, steps, resistance bands, barbells and weight plates.”

The class will be supervised by Active Stirling’s qualified and experienced instructors, who will provide a small group fitness class based on your level of fitness and provide instruction and feedback on techniques to ensure you are comfortable and safe.

Active Stirling’s Group Fitness and Training Manager, Ryan Conlon, added:“at Active Stirling, we aim to provide health and wellbeing opportunities for our community.

“As a parent, guardian or grandparent, our new Bring your Baby Fitness class gives you the chance to exercise while having piece of mind your baby is safe with you in the class.”
