Adshead hits top form with trebles

DAVE Adshead was in tremendous form in the Stockport Individual Premier League, blasting the treble twenty to checkout in (23, 15, 20, 14, and 14) darts in his 5-0 win over Derek Higgins, he followed this with more superb darts of (21, 14, 14, 17 and 18) to beat Steve Atkinson 5-2.

Tom Booth moved into top gear firing home (15, 15, 21, 20 and 18) including a 134 outshot in his 5-2 victory against Alan Wilkinson (20, 20), Wilkinson went on to win his second game 5-0 over Ray Gamble.

Ian Walters was once again in fine form reaching the winning post in (17, 20, 18, 18 and 17) in his opening game, where he took out Atkinson 5-0, before shots of (15, 16, 20, 20 and 20) gave him a 5-2 win against Higgins (18, 18).

Paul Taylor lost the first three legs of his opening game with Rick Shelmerdin­e in (21, 18, 21), he then hit back with shots of (23, 18, 19, 19 and 18) to secure a 5-3 victory, the Stockport Sharp Shooter completed his nights work with a 5-0 result over Steve Graham, who shared the points with Ray Gamble in his final game.

Ian Dickinson (19, 16, 19, 22 and 24) continued his winning form against Mick Cosgrove (22), before moving on to take out Mark Daniels in five straight legs of (18, 19, 21, 21 and 20). Cosgrove improved in his second game, when he hit his doubles in (21, 21, 26, 24 and 14) in a 5-1 win against Lee Taylor.

John Hyman (19, 20, 24, 25 and 21) collected the points in his 5-1 victory over Frank guest, but lost his second outing 5-3 with Steve Rogers (23, 23, 22, 19 and 24), who won his last game 5-0 against Jackie Wilkinson in (15, 17, 24, 20 and 20) darts.

Dave Beckett turned on a fine performanc­e in his only game of the night when he fired home quality darts of (19, 21, 15, 18 and 21) to beat Terry Harrison 5-0.

In the Stockport Super League Fingerpost with help of Dave Airey (13, 15), Stuart Harding (15, 15) and Nathan Aspinall (17, 20) were 5-2 victors at at Star and Garter A.

Nursery Inn won by the odd game 4-3 over Reddish Working Mens Club.
