His first for County last season at Gainsborou­gh Trinity was breathtaki­ng and similar efforts at wrexham and at home to Gainsborou­gh and Harrogate were similarly impressive.

Signed on until the end of next season, Churchman is likely to feature prominentl­y yet again as the Hatters eye promotion. A goal that made a lot of people stand up and take notice.

With County trailing 2-1 having recently pulled a goal back, Spencer turned his man and hit a half volley which flew into the far corner in front of the Cheadle End and sent the Hatters faithful into overdrive.

The goal became a hit on Youtube and was even picked up by the BBC Sport website.
