IS there something special about your local? Stockport’s radio station Pure 107.8FM is looking for the best public house in the borough. Paul Holloway tells us more…

Once again Pure 107.8FM’s annual search to find Stockport’s Perfect Pub returns this spring and as always we want you to have your say.

Each year we have a diverse selection of pubs, from foodie gastros, to family locals and cosy boozers.

But one thing they all have in common is that they are in the heart of their communities.

Whether your local serves good food, has great live entertainment or just serves great beer in a friendly atmosphere, we want to hear about it.

Last year Three Bears in Hazel Grove won the honour of being crowned Stockport’s Perfect Pub. Other previous winners of the competition include; The Windsor Castle in Marple Bridge, the Nursery Inn in Heaton Norris, the Hesketh Tavern in Cheadle Hulme and the Railway Inn and Three Tunnes both on the A6. Please e-mail your suggestions to pub@ pureradio.org.uk by Friday, May 15 – do it now so you don’t forget.

We can’t promise all nominated pubs will be featured but we’ll make sure the most popular are included.

You can hear Pure’s Pete Liggins talking to a reporter from the Stockport Express every Wednesday on Stockport Focus on Pure 107.8FM.
