AMUM has left her nine-to-five job to pursue her dream of owning her own fashion boutique.

Caroline Fletcher will be opening her new shop Weave Womenswear in Heaton Moor on Friday (May 22).

The mum-of-two was previously a senior account manager at digital agencies in both London and Leeds but took the brave decision to quit her job and run her own business.

She moved to the Heatons four years ago and thought Shaw Road would be the perfect location for her new venture.

The 41-year-old said: “This is something I’ve always wanted to do and turning 40 was a bit of a turning point.

“I thought if I don’t do it now then I never will.

“I spotted a gap in the market that someone like me could fill and felt it was the right thing to do.

“It’s a really nice location and there are some really nice independent shops down there.

“It’s a great road with a really nice feel to it.”

Caroline will be stocking a range of womenswear and some accessories.

The collection features pieces from brands such as Maison Scotch and Part Two with more labels set to be introduced in coming weeks.

She describes her stock as being ‘ easy to wear clothing’ that doesn’t take much effort to put an outfit together.

Caroline added: “I’m someone who still loves shopping but with a young family going into Manchester can be a bit of a hassle.

“I wanted somewhere where you could walk in and kids but still be able to shop for yourself.

“It’s a big change from the old job and it’s all really exciting. It’s fantastic to see it all coming together and great to wake up and think ‘right, I’m my own boss now’.

“Seeing Weave open its doors is a dream come true.

“We have managed to secure a fantastic location and an exciting first collection and I can’t wait to help dress the busy women of Heaton Moor.”

Weave Womenswear will have a pre-opening event tomorrow (May 21) where shoppers can enjoy complimentary beauty treatments.

It will be open Tuesday to Saturday with late night shopping on a Friday. The shop will also be open on market days.
