GATLEY Carrs Conservati­on Group is holding a half term ‘bat-walk’ on Tuesday, May 26.

A presentati­on by South Lancashire Bat Group will be held in the function room at the Horse and Farrier pub on Gatley Road from 7.30pm.

After sundown the group will head down to the Carrs to detect bats with the use of specialist equipment.

The entrance fee for adults is £2 while children can attend free of charge.

A NEW phase of house building at the Parklands developmen­t in Cheadle Hulme is now under way.

Developer Jones Homes will build a further 47 properties on the three-acre plot which sits adjacent to the existing site.

The new phase of building will include a mix of 16 four and five bedroom detached homes, 12 four bedroom townhouses and 19 two and three bedroom mews-style houses.

An area of public open space will be situated to the front of the developmen­t.
