A SOCIAL group for people aged over 50 is looking for new members.

Active Seniors takes place at Offerton Community Centre, Mallowdale Road, on Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm.

There is indoor bowling, board games, hot drinks and biscuits for £1.50 per session.

STOCKPORT Symphony Orchestra will play its final concert of the season.

It will be held at Stockport Town Hall, Edward Street, on Saturday from 7.30pm.

Guitarist Mark Ashford will make a guest appearance and the concert concludes with the Pathetique by Tchaikovsky.

A TOWN centre church is inviting guests to a free organ concert.

It is on at St Peter’s Church, St Peter’s Square, on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.

Performers include Dave Nicholas, from the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Sale Gilbert and Sullivan Choral Society.

A SMITHS tribute band will perform their first concert in Stockport centre.

These Smiths play at LIVE Stockport, on Stockport Market Place, on Friday from 9pm.

Singer Jim Thompson has appeared in Stars in Their Eyes as Morrissey.

Tickets are £3 on the door.

A FUNDRAISING yoga class will be held in Edgeley.

The class has been organised by Jeanette Slavinski and takes place at the Dhammakaya Buddhist Temple, Edgeley Road, on June 17 from 1pm.

Donations, recommended amount £5, are welcome with proceeds going to the temple and Help For Heroes.
