Mass bike ride will raise funds for charity

-

THE north west’s newest cycle event will support the work of the Seashell Trust.

The charity is dedicated to providing a creative, happy and secure environment for children and adults with complex and severe learning disabilities which include little or no language abilities.

The entry fee to the mass participation, non-race cycle ride on Sunday, September 20, will go to Seashell Trust along with any additional sponsorship riders might raise.

It will be used to buy specialist bicycles so Seashell students with very complex needs get the chance to experience the thrill of cycling too.

There is a fun family 30-mile course, a challenging scenic 60-miler or a leg-busting 100-mile route taking in some of the Peak District’s finest climbs with over 10,000ft of elevation.

Riders depart at 7.30am from Total Fitness, Wilmslow. Places cost £30, £35 and £35 respectively. Go to www. sportive.seashelltrust.org. uk for more information or enter at britishcycling.org.uk.
