Free wellbeing sessions
STOCKPORT residents are being urged to take advantage of free and confidential wellbeing advice sessions.
A joint project by Stockport Council and Healthy Stockport will see public sessions at Fred Perry House, Edward Street, in the town centre.
They will be taking place every Monday morning between 10.30am and 11.45am in rooms 21 and 29 until August 31.
Sessions will provide practical support across areas including maintaining a healthy weight, getting more active, managing stress, building confidence, stopping smoking and drinking sensibly.
They run on an informal drop- in basis, so it is not necessary to make an appointment.
Councillor John Pantall, Stockport Council’s executive member for independence and wellbeing, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to check their wellbeing and get the most out of their lives.
“We have great, dedicated staff who will be providing advice and make sure locals are feeling good physically and mentally.”
