Drugs and guns man sentenced

A MAN is serving a two- year jail sentence for his role in drug and firearms conspiracy.

Andrew Robertson, 23, of Didsbury Road, Heaton Mersey, was jailed at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court after admitting the possession of ecstasy with intent to supply.

His sentence was revealed after three others were jailed for a total of 34 years for more serious offences.

He was arrested after police officers stopped a car in Salford and Robertson was found with a large quantity of ecstasy pills.

Other men were arrested after a separate searches found heroin worth £1.2m, cocaine worth £ 300,000, a firearm and 200 rounds of ammunition.

Mark Blacker, 30, of Ordsall, was jailed for 12 years after admitting conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

Nikolas Redfearn, 40, of Oldham, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine and possession of CS gas and was sentenced to six years.

Michael Artwell, 30, of Gorton, admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin and possession of a firearm and ammunition and was jailed for 16 years.
