Contract just the ticket

TRANSPORT chiefs will spend £1m installing ‘smart-ticket’ machines on up to 1,000 buses in Greater Manchester.

Transport for Greater Manchester is asking companies to bid for a contract to fit the card-based machines in vehicles owned by around 30 small-tomedium sized bus operators.

Up to 1,000 electronic ticket machines may have to be installed.

The estimated value of the contract, which will run for five years, is £1m.
