Golfers swinging for glory
A QUARTET of golfing maestros are driving towards a place in the final of one of the country’s top tournaments.
Bramhall Golf Club duo Lee Ranson and Richard Green and Bramhall Park pair Sam Everton and Craig Daggitt are just one step away from qualifying for the final of the Lombard Trophy, at the famous Gleneagles golf course in Scotland.
The four will fight it out against up to 70 other clubs on the fairways of Dunham Forest Golf Club at the regional final on Friday.
The competition features two-man teams, consisting of one professional and one amateur player, challenging for golfing glory.
Richard and Craig are both professionals while Lee and Sam, from Cheadle Hulme, are their club’s best performing amateurs.
Ian Isaac, of tournament sponsors Lombard, said: ““It’s great to once again be working with The PGA to offer the opportunity for professional and amateur golfers to play on some fantastic courses.”
