Celebrations as Party Car claim footy title
THE third annual Stockport Football Community Champions tournament took place and the winning team came from Adswood.
Party Car FC triumphed 4-1 in the final against Brinnington’s Ji Sung Park the Bus at Stockport Sports Village, in Woodley.
The team had already won through the Adswood and Bridgehall tournament to be one of eight teams at the finals event.
A third place play-off saw Question Mark beat Stoconians B 5-4 after both teams came through the Offerton competition.
Former Stockport County manager Alan Lord presented the trophies to winners.
The eight teams were made up of two each from tournaments in Brinnington, Adswood and Bridgehall, central Stockport, and Offerton.
Sam Barton, from tournament organisers Life Leisure, said: “We want to thank everyone who supported all the events.
“It helped make each tournament a special occasion.”
