Wanted man is hunted
POLICE are stepping up their hunt for one of Stockport’s wanted suspects.
Callum Reilly, 26, from Romiley, is being sought in connection with thefts from cars and it is thought he is being harboured by an associate in Stockport.
Now officers want to speak with him in connection with another incident, which happened on Davenport Road, Hazel Grove, in the early hours on Monday.
A resident reported seeing a ‘tall, thin’ man trying to break into a car.
Inspector Jim Lockett, from the east area neighbourhood police, said: “We feel he is being harboured in Stockport.
“He has various associates who will be putting him up, but anyone found harbouring him will also be prosecuted. He remains outstanding and we want to talk to him in relation to another incident.”
Police had released Reilly’s image in relation to thefts from vehicles on Linden Grove, Frome Avenue and Cedar Road, in the Woodsmoor and Great Moor area in May.
Officers also want to speak to him in connection with an assault at Great Moor Service Station on May 18.
Anyone with information can call police on 101.
