Plans for apartments approved

PLANS for residential accommodation including 50 apartments for pensioners have been approved.

Gladman Care Homes are set to develop the former Autosave and Bridge Works on School Brow in Romiley.

The apartments will be between three and five storeys high.

Heatons North councillor John Taylor said: “We have a sister scheme in the Heatons – and we know how well it works.”

The plans were unanimously approved.
