LOCAL author Kevin Dowling has presented a cheque to the Friends of Marple Memorial Park for £240, a proportion of proceeds from his new book.

Following the launch of the book, A Man of Insignificance, in November last year Mr Dowling – who writes under the name K.C. Dowling – offered to donate a share of the proceeds from its sale.

The £240 represents a percentage of the first edition sales, which have now ended, but Mr Dowling has also proposed to donate four per cent of any future royalties for this year to the group.
