Quick-Step floors click together for easy fitting

QUICK-STEP engineered wood (called hardwood on its website, www. quick-step.co.uk) comes in six different ranges. The real wood top layer is 3mm thick (or 2.5mm for the Compact range), so it can be sanded and re-finished in future.

It comes in a lacquered finish, with seven layers of UV- cured lacquer, which protects the floor against wear, scratches and stains and makes it easy to maintain; or an oiled finish, with two layers of modified oil, which creates an extra-matt, natural look.

The core layer makes the floor stable and durable, as it absorbs stresses and strains, while the backing layer of spruce or pine veneer, in combination with the other layers, stops the floor warping.

Thanks to Quick-Step’s Uniclic Multifit system of clicking the boards together, this flooring is quick and easy to fit.
