STOCKPORT manufacturer Resin Surfaces Ltd (RSL) is looking to make potential savings of around £56,000 by reducing packaging waste and increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes.

RSL makes coatings and finishes manufactured on site in Hazel Grove for use across a variety of industries, including industrial, retail, aerospace, food and drink, and healthcare.

MD Ivy Roe said: “Sustainability is very important to our business.

“We’ve always been very conscious of the materials we use and we want to ensure that we reduce waste as much as possible, which will also benefit our bottom line.”

RSL plans to save £40,000 by installing a can-crushing machine and introducing reusable and returnable packaging for raw materials could save a further £16,000.

Green Growth adviser Claire Scott added: “RSL is a great example of a growing manufacturing company that needs to maximise its efficiency to keep costs down.”
