SEVEN MILES OUT/ STOCKPORT OLD TOWN

-

EVERY second Sunday of the month it’s ‘ Vintage Sunday’ in Stockport Market as the awardwinning Vintage Village Fair transforms the Old Town with sharplydressed people, vintage vehicles and retro entertainment from the likes of The Retrosettes and DJ Martin the Mod.

Created in 2010, Vintage Village has been voted ‘Best Vintage Fair’ for two years running and its success has inspired a vintage community of shops to open in the Old Town including the recent addition 20th Century Stores.

The next Vintage Village is on Sunday, July 12, and in Seven Miles Out we have our monthly ‘Tea, Cake and Rock ‘n’ Roll’ event hosted by Nicola Quinn of Wonderland Cakes.

With the café area filled with 1950’s Formica tables and cabinets, it’s the perfect setting for Elvis movies on the big screen and 1950’s and 60’s vinyl spinning on the record player.

Nicola’s recipes are legendary and she has built up a loyal following of cake lovers who pop in for a ‘James Brownie’, a ‘Rolling Scone’ or a slice of her fabulous ‘45s which are the speciality seven-inch cakes in a variety of mouthwatering flavours.
