Your images could be on fund calendar
VERNON Building Society is looking for the best pictures of the area to feature in its 2016 calendar, which will be sold to raise money for their Jubilee Fund.
The stunning images captured in their 2015 calendar helped to raise over £1,500 for local causes.
To enter the competition photographers need to sign-up and upload their image to the Vernon’s Flickr Group with a brief description of where in Stockport it was taken.
Alternatively entries can be emailed to photographycomp@thevernon.co.uk.
After the deadline of September 21, the society will then choose their 12 favourite images to feature in the 2016 calendar.
Vernon chief executive Mike Hanson said: “We’re proud of where we’re based – there’s some fantastic scenery and iconic buildings and structures in the area which our 2015 calendar captured wonderfully.
“By selling the calendar we hope to raise a significant sum of money which will all be put back into the community through our Jubilee Fund.”
The calendar will be released in November and made available from all branches of the Vernon.
