Please nominate unsung heroes
IN September, I have the great pleasure of hosting the Daily Mirror’s 17th annual Pride of Britain Awards, sponsored by Lidl, on ITV.
For me, it’s the only TV awards show that really matters because the winners are real heroes who put the Great into Britain. It’s an honour to present Pride of Britain each year and meet such extraordinary, courageous and aweinspiring people.
So if you know an unsung hero, I urge you to nominate them. Perhaps it’s someone who works tirelessly to improve your neighbourhood, a dedicated charity fundraiser or campaigner.
It could be a courageous child or adult or an exemplary teacher or care worker. Or a member of the emergency services or armed forces who have gone beyond the call of duty.
To nominate them, please visit www. prideofbritain.com or pick up a nomination form from a Lidl store or send details to Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards, PO Box 4014, London, E14 5BF. Please act quickly because nominations must be received by midnight on Friday 7th August to be considered by our panel of judges.
I look forward to meeting the remarkable winners at Pride of Britain 2015 at the Grosvenor House in London’s Park Lane in September. Carol Vorderman
