EDGELEY PARK DEAL SUPPORT

IT appears Mr MD Cawley is persisting in his delusion that the council’s purchase of Edgeley Park will adversely affected services.

Allow me to explain in the simplest terms.

The council obtains a mortgage, the make monthly rental equal to those payments. £X out plus £X in = zero. Cost to council = zero. Affect of services = zero. Point of Mr Cawley’s letter = zero.

In the long term, the council acquires a valuable asset at no cost.

Mr Cawley asks what benefits will be coming his way next season. The answer, if we remain in the EU, is very few.

But that is not the fault of the council and certainly has nothing to do with the Edgeley Park deal. J Regan Whaley Bridge
