PAINT RECYCLED

A PORTWOOD store has thanked its customers for their help with a paint recycling scheme.

Crown Decorating Centre, on Newbridge Lane, ran its Kick Out the Can scheme over the Easter weekend.

Shoppers returned 8,660 containers of surplus paint in return for discount vouchers – almost double the number collected last year. The paint has been given to social enterprise company Nimtech to be reprocessed.
