Funnyman’s colourful cow mooves on to pastures new

-

A COLOURFUL bovine creation which featured in Manchester’s famous Cow Parade has found a new home at a children’s charity thanks to the generosity of a famous funnyman.

Justin Moorhouse, who lives in Heaton Moor, became the proud owner of the model cow, painted by artists Peter Walker and Josephine Gornall, after successfully bidding for it following the 2004 event, to raise money for Key 103’s Cash for Kids appeal.

Until recently, the cow resided at the station’s Castlefield studio, but needed a new home after the building was refurbished.

Now the cow has gone to live on a farm – at the Cheshire- based Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.

Justin, said: “When I heard my lovely cow needed a new home I thought of the Adventure Farm immediately.

“I’ve been involved with the charity for many years and am always ‘mooved’ by what they do for children from our region.

“They work so hard to ensure that every visiting child is given a unique and memorable experience, and I knew my cow would fit right in.
