Steve’s top darts at treble

STEVE Gallimore hit top form when he blasted the treble 20 with tremendous darting of 15, 16, 19, 15 and 13 in the Stockport Individual Premier League to take out Lee Taylor 5-1.

Gallimore followed this with two more wins – 5-2 against Dave Beckett and 5-0 over Tom Booth in 19, 16, 17, 14 and 14 darts.

Booth moved on to win his second game 5-2 against Steve Pritchard, with darts of 24, 21, 20, 14 and 18, before losing his final game 5-3, Ian Dickenson checking out in 18, 21, 21, 24 and 15. He went on to secure a 5-1 victory over Paul Holland, who won his second outing 5-1 against Mark Daniels in 25, 24, 21, 23 and 21 darts.

In his opening game, Paul Taylor fired home quality darts of 16, 18, 15, 18 and 16 to beat Mick Cosgrove 5-0, before shots of 17, 17, 22, 15 and 21 saw the Stockport sharpshoot­er take out Holland 5-1 in his final game.

Cosgrove improved in his last game, reaching his doubles in 23, 24, 18, 17 and 18 to edge out John Traynor 5-3, and earn two points.

Steve Atkinson, in his only game of the night, reached the winning post in 19, 23, 19, 21 and 18 darts against Beckett, who re-grouped to check out in 18, 22, 22, 18 and 13 in his 5-3 win over Dickenson.

In the Bredbury Licensed Houses League Bredbury Conservati­ve Club A sent Greyhound A home with a 6-1 defeat, Alex Shirley (22, 24), Phil Wakefield (23, 22), Mark Sands (24, 25) and Andy Pollitt (24, 26) were their target men.

Colin Davies (22, 16), Fran Tracey (20, 30) and John Carrol (28, 25) helped Cow and Calf beat Romiley Liberal Club 6-1.

Bredbury Conservati­ve Club B beat Greyhound B with a 6-1, thanks to Pete Townley (23, 27), Gary Townley (26, 26) and George Nuttall (27, 30).
