Variety show at Plaza will boost funds for Wellspring

THE Wellspring is proud to present our second Shining Stars of Stockport variety show at Stockport Plaza theatre on Sunday, October 16 at 3.30pm.

This fundraising variety show is packed with local talent and is hosted by Wellspring patron Mr Gordon Burns. Please come along to The Plaza and support this fantastic event. Tickets are available via The Plaza Box Office on 477 7779 or by contacting Pauline on 427 2763.

As the nights begin to close in and get colder we are already planning our services for the winter months.

On Sunday, December 4 The Wellspring will again host The Rucksack Project. The donations of warm clothing, rucksacks and sleeping bags that we receive during The Rucksack Project last us for around 12 months.

So please consider donating a rucksack and sleeping bag to The services the charity offers. I am looking for a local organisation to provide some financial assistance in order to develop our educational courses at The Wellspring.

Over the years we have run many courses from art groups to maths and English and computer courses. We really want to develop this side of the project and are looking to find the funds to employ our own dedicated tutor to work full time at The Wellspring teaching and delivering a range of educational courses aimed at giving homeless people skills and improving their chances of becoming employed.
