SEVEN MILES OUT

-

IT’S hard to believe that we’re in October already, but the beginning of the month always gets off to a great start with our monthly Twang! music social.

This Friday evening is hosted by the wonderful people from Stockport Ukulele Players, when Seven Miles Out is filled with over 50 people of all ages playing their ukuleles and having a good old singsong. It’s a sight to behold!

Twang! welcomes all people with a passion for singing and strumming, whatever instrument that may be from ukuleles to mandolins and guitars of all kinds. There’s also an opportunity to perform at the Open Mic, just come and put your name down and share your talent. If you love music and people, you’ll love this.

Our Saturday Sessions night has become one of our most popular events showcasing all the great bands that live and play in Stockport and curated by Kamey McNamara, whose dedication and enthusiasm is the reason for its great success.

This month we are delighted to feature the solo acoustic talents of singer-songwriter Phil Davies, local band Sauce playing their own brand of psychedelic rock, and The Black and White Chickens, a five-piece who write their own songs with irresistible melodies and choruses.

The Chickens have played at Seven Miles Out on several occasions and are always popular, especially when they brought along a jar of boiled sweets and gave them out during their song ‘Sherbert Lemon.’
