Bramhall ace Daniel is a Wee Wonder

- GOLF GEOFF GARNETT

BRAMHALL Golf Club’s young star Daniel Hayes showed his outstanding talent in a top national tournament where he finished in third place.

Daniel, aged nine, qualified to play in the Wee Wonders final at Strathtyrum Golf Course in St Andrews and posted a fantastic score of 79 and 69 gross.

This drops his handicap to 15 and gave great pleasure to his coach Richard Green, the Bramhall professional.

Richard also coaches GB and I star Bronte Law and England Girls regular Bel Wardle as well as other top juniors and he is sure that Daniel has the talent and application to go a long way in the game.

Meanwhile Daniel just smiles and enjoys his golf at Bramhall where he is a constant feature on their excellent practice ground.

His favourite golfer is Jason Day but he did add that he has also had great inspiration from Bronte Law.
