On most wanted list
THREE violent criminals - whose rap sheets include false imprisonment and blackmail - are among those most wanted by Stockport police.
A list of 11 suspects officers would like to trace includes Declan Delaney, 18, who is wanted in connection with an attack in Brinnington in June where a man, 20, was assaulted.
He was also due at Stockport Magistrates Court the following day for failing to comply with the requirements of a detention and training order.
This had been imposed for offences including blackmail, assault, criminal damage and burglary but he failed to appear and a warrant was issued.
Jake Waterhouse, 24, from Bredbury, is wanted on recall to prison after breaching the terms of his licence.
He was released from prison on June 20 having previously been jailed for assault and false imprisonment. Waterhouse also has links to Romiley.
And Radcliffe Lewis, 37, is also sought on recall to prison after breaching the terms of his release.
He was freed in August after being convicted of assault and has links to Bredbury as well as south Manchester.
Among others on the most wanted list is Tariq Javed, 38, who fled before he was due to be sentenced at crown court having been found guilty of eight counts of sexual activity with a child. He escaped as the jury debated their verdict and ports and airports have been put on alert over a possible flight from the UK. The offences took place in Stockport and Javed has lived at Kingsleigh Road, Heaton Mersey, and in Rusholme.
Others being sought are: Matthew George Meehan, 24, from Cheadle Hulme, in connection with an assault on Dryden Avenue, Cheadle.
Martin Laszcz, 28, who failed to attend court after being charged with burglary. He has links to Cheadle Hulme.
Daniel Taylor, 27, from Stockport, wanted after he escaped from prison in Blackpool in 2014.
Mohammed Asim Raja, 34, who has links to Reddish, wanted in connection with a rape in Stockport in May 2014
Niall Scott, 43, of Brinnington, wanted for failing to appear in court after breaching an order imposed for assault.
Waseem Hussain, 35, who has links to Cheadle, wanted in connection with the theft of a car in March 2012.
James Muldoon, 22, who has links to Stockport and Bolton, wanted on recall to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.
