ONCE again Stockport’s Radio Station Pure 107.8FM is on a quest to find the best musical talent in the borough. Stockport’s Drive Home presenter Paul Holloway explains more.
It’s the penultimate week of Stockport’s Finest. Pure’s annual competition for bands and singer-songwriters. So if you haven’t voted already, time is running out.
Once again this year the quality acts in our grand final is very strong. This is this year’s short list in our grand final… 1. Cordeliers 2. Kashmere 3. Liam McClair 4. Sally Caitlin 5. Templars
We’ll be showcasing the acts on Pure 107.8FM and every week in the Stockport Express, I’ll have a look at one of the acts. Today it’s Sally Caitlin
Sally is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Romiley. She makes pop music with a bit of an edge. She has recently moved back home after completing university and is now launching her music career with an EP called ‘Experiments’ which will be released in April 2017.
Sally told Pure: “I’m delighted to have been selected as one of the five finalists for Stockport’s Finest, especially in a line-up of such talented artists and bands! I have just released my new single, Take It All, on November 10, and now I’m gearing up for the release of my EP. I am planning the music video for my next single at the moment, which will be shot in the new year, and I have been in the studio working on tracks for my first album.”
The winners of this year’s competition will win two days at AStar Studios in Heywood (owned by Mercury Prize nominated producer Andy Ross) to record a single.
