The final itself takes place on Sunday 23rd July with hot food and refreshments available at all dates.

The green has improved over the last few seasons and sets a very tricky test for all players.

The Love Lane winter singles championships is very tight as we approach the Christmas period.

The latest round of games in the series went to Bob Whyatt who overcame Andy Jones in a one sided final.

Young player Ben Mills agaian had a tremendous run coming unstuck at the quarter final stage.

The championship itself is headed by Jamie Bramley on 8 points with Ian Stokes in second on seven points.

In the Fixed pairs event a new name could be making its way on to the trophy.

After a tremendous start to winter Leigh Smith and James Jones have eight points in the bag ahead of Chris Barlow and Shaun Miller.

It could be very interesting in two weeks time when the next round of matches take place in the fixed pairs series.

Love Lane will again be playing South Lakes over two legs in the new year for the coveted Inter Town challenge trophy.

Anyone attending Love Lane winter sweeps can be considered for selection in the team.
