Make sure you catch Santa on tour in Reddish
FATHER Christmas started his tour of North Reddish this week.
Every year, the poplar event sees a group of local businesses owners arrange for Santa to travel around parts of Reddish on his sleigh, to greet children.
The visits will be raising money to pay for Christmas parties for children and older people who are on their own.
Councillor Kate Butler thanked the organisers for bringing Santa to the children of Reddish.
She said: “They do this every year, take time out from whatever they have on, when they could be working, going around the streets of Reddish so the children can see Santa.”
Santa visited Reddish on Monday and Tuesday, and will be out again tonight and tomorrow. Tonight, Wednesday, December 14, from 7pm, he will be travelling along Naseby Road, Fovant Crescent, Harrogate Road between Houldsworth Street and Spa Close, Wharfedale Road, Ilkley Crescent, Priory Lane, Higginson Road, Bolton Street, Lichfield Avenue, Higginson Road, Leaf Street, Arthur Street, Margaret Street, Oldham Street, Lynmouth Avenue, Rowsley Grove, Hurst Street and Liverpool Street.
Tomorrow, Thursday, December 15 from 7pm onwards, Santa will be on Harrogate Road from Spa Close to Longford Road, Longford Road West, Tennyson Road, Wordsworth Road, Chaucer Avenue, Shelley Road, Farley Way, Byron Grove, Churchill Crescent, Masefield Grove, Ruskin Road, Coleridge Road, Browning Road and Macauley Road.
